Exploding Letter Boxes

Halloween monsters began their reign of terror two nights ago, scaring people and pets with explosive fireworks set alight in letter boxes. One house was fire-bombed with ear-shattering crackers after windows were smashed. Luckily the occupants managed to douse the flames.

Controlled public displays of fireworks cause enough traumas to pets without hoons and hoodies deliberately targeting the innocent.

No doubt teenagers have been building up an unbearable anticipation, waiting for the sale of fireworks to commence, one week before Guy Fawkes celebrations; so that monsters from hell can realise their sadistic fantasies in explosions and obscenities.

Parents of these monsters may wonder what genetic malignancy blighted the children they've spawned.
Why can't they enjoy a bit of fun and a laugh like the good kids, where no one gets hurt? What pleasure children and young families have always found in fireworks when common sense is not an issue!

Meanwhile police and firemen, who are out in force at night, just don't understand these failures of human beings who crave a necessary and frenzied release. Where is their tolerance so those who have gone crackers can surely continue to have some fun?
